This website uses Matomo Analytics, an open-source web analytics platform installed directly on our hosting space managed by Cristina Tomasi.
To protect our users’ privacy as much as possible, the service has been configured to operate without the use of tracking cookies. This means that no text files are stored on your device to track your browsing activity.
Types of Data Collected and Anonymization
The software collects purely statistical and aggregated information about how the website is used (for example: pages visited, time spent on the site, browser type, and approximate geographic location).
The data is anonymized immediately before being stored:
- IP Address Anonymization: Visitors’ IP addresses are automatically masked (the last bytes of the address are removed). This makes it mathematically impossible to identify an individual user or determine their exact geographic location.
- No Data Combination: The data collected is not combined with other information, nor is it transmitted or sold to third parties (such as Google or Facebook) for advertising or profiling purposes.
Legal Basis for Processing
Because the data collected is fully anonymous and does not constitute “personal data” under the GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679), the processing is based on the legitimate interest of the Data Controller in optimizing the website’s performance and usability, without the need for prior consent through a cookie banner.
Where the Data Is Processed
Unlike other analytics services, all data generated by Matomo Analytics is stored exclusively in the database of our server provided by Hostinger and located within the European Union. No data is transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
